Job Description & Requirements

Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a travel nurse RN for a CVICU position in Baltimore, MD. The position will run from August 10, 2026, for 13 weeks, with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour shifts.

• Shift: 12 hours

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a CVICU RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
• TNCC, NIHSS certification

Essential Work Functions

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients
• Administer complex medications and treatments
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
• Maintain patient safety and comfort
• Document patient conditions and interventions
• Communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives

• Ability to read/write instructions, follow verbal instructions, and use computers
• Physical abilities: remain in a stationary position, move about, lift up to 100 lbs, push, pull, bend

• Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
• Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers, work under close supervision, work without assistance from other personnel, work continuously with attention to detail, deal with irregular activity schedules
