Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a 13-week assignment in Peoria, Illinois starting August 17, 2026.

Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Hours: 36 hours per week

Unit Details

Unit Size: 20 private monitored beds
Trauma Level: Level I
Charting: Epic

Experience & Certification

• Minimum 2 years of recent, dedicated CVICU experience
  Preferred more than 2 years of experience
  Recent travel ICU assignments preferred
• Proficient with the unit’s patient population and equipment without requiring extensive training
• Independent interpretation of telemetry and cardiac rhythm strips
• Comfortable caring for multiple critically ill cardiovascular patients simultaneously
• AHA BLS certification
  Preferred ACLS certification
  Certified Registered Nurse (CRN)

Required Devices & Equipment

• IABP
• Impella
• Swan-Ganz catheters
• ECMO
• RRT
• External and temporary pacemakers
• Mechanical ventilation
• CPAP and BiPAP
• Heated high-flow oxygen
• Inhaled nitric oxide

Support Staff

• Charge Nurse available 24/7
• House Supervisor available 24/7
• ICU provider coverage available around the clock
• Cardiovascular and critical-care advanced practice providers available most of the time
• Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
• Patient Care Technicians support approximately 12–15 patients, depending on staffing
• Monitor technicians are available, but RNs must interpret and document their own rhythm strips
• Floating travelers may float to any level of care based on hospital needs and are expected to accept a full patient assignment appropriate to that unit
