This outpatient oncology infusion position involves providing chemotherapy and long-term IV medication administration to adult patients. The role requires managing patient care, administering treatments, and performing assessments in a fast-paced clinical environment. Job Details: Schedule: Monday Friday, 0800-1630, with potential for extended infusion times; minimum of 40 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Active BLS certification; ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification; one (1) year of outpatient infusion or oncology experience; Illinois license or equivalent state licensure; at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chemotherapy administration and access skills such as peripheral IV, Port-a-Cath, and PICC line; strong assessment skills and recognizing adverse reactions; comfortable drawing blood from ports for labs. Float: Float: Float rotation may be required to all three infusion centers: Christ, South Suburban, and Trinity. Additional Information: The role involves collaboration with clinic leads, schedulers, and onsite oncologists. EMR system preferred is EPIC, with access to Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing system. Orientation includes general facility overview and one shift of unit-specific training. The clinic operates on a Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend rotation or on-call responsibilities. Scrub color is navy. Parking is free.
