About the role
The Registered Nurse - Pacemaker Electrophysiology assists clinic providers and staff in the deliverance and coordination of patient care to facilitate patient satisfaction, clinic efficiency, and provider productivity. This position is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while working in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team. Registered Nurses plan and implement patient and family education. The Nurse Practices Act and Administrative Rules of the state of Montana govern registered nursing practice.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a clinic setting
- Coordinate patient care to enhance patient satisfaction, clinic efficiency, and provider productivity
- Work collaboratively with healthcare team members
- Plan and implement patient and family education
- Manage cardiac implantable electronic devices, including pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs)
- Interpret cardiac arrhythmias and electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG)
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- One (1) year of registered nursing experience
- International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification
- Experience with device platforms from major manufacturers: Biotronik, Medtronic, Abbott (formerly St. Jude Medical), and Boston Scientific
