About the role

Join a fast-paced 43-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit caring for patients with a variety of cardiac and medical conditions. This assignment is ideal for experienced Telemetry RNs who are confident with cardiac rhythm interpretation, admissions/discharges, and collaborating in a strong team environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret telemetry strips independently
• Perform Heparin titration and cardiac patient care
• Conduct EKGs and manage admissions/discharges
• Care for patients including:
  • Post Heart Catheterization
  • CHF & COPD
  • Arrhythmias
  • Post Pacemaker patients
  • CABG workups
  • Cardiac medical management
• Participate in the facility float rotation within your skill set
• Work every other weekend

Requirements

• Active RN License
• BLS & ACLS certification
• Recent Cardiac Telemetry experience
• Unexpired driver’s license (must be submitted with application)

• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5 (may flex to 1:6)
• Monitor technicians available
• Self-scheduling available; block scheduling considered based on unit needs
• Supportive, team-oriented culture
• Fast-paced environment with frequent admissions and discharges
• Orientation includes computer training and unit precepting
• Royal Blue scrubs required
• Floating may occur to other units based on hospital needs, but assignments will remain within your competency
