About the role
Travel nursing assignment in Marquette, Michigan for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit.
Start Date: 08/17/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | 36 hours per week | Shift: 12 hours, nights | Employment Type: Travel
Responsibilities
- Provide care for cardiac patients, including those with trauma and stepdown level needs.
- Manage chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, and cardiac drips.
- Handle patient ratios of 1:5 for cardiac and 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown.
- Work with common diagnoses and treatments such as chest pain, VATS, stroke/TIA, pre & post open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular issues, and CHF.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in PCU or stepdown.
- Must have skills/experience with cardiac patients, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and cardiac stepdowns.
- Preferred skills: PCU/Stepdown, low-level ICU skills.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Michigan license required to submit.
- Experience with Cerner EMR.
