Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Invasive Cardiac RN / Cath Lab
• Location: Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, WI
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 9-hour variable days (7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly
• Float: Cath Lab only
• Weekends: On-call every 4th–5th weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Rotation as needed due to call; typically 1 holiday
• EMR: Epic experience required

Call Requirements

• 1–2 nights per week: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Every 4th–5th weekend: Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
• Response Time: 30 minutes

Required Experience

• 2+ years of invasive cardiac/Cath Lab experience
• Must be strong scrubbing with physicians
• Must have experience with high-risk cardiac cases
• HARD STOP – Structural Heart Experience Required: Candidate must have hands-on experience with structural heart procedures, including TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman. Structural heart experience is non-negotiable.

• Scrubbing Cath Lab procedures
• Scrubbing IR procedures

Unit Overview

• Fast-paced invasive cardiology department
• 4-person teams consisting of RNs and technologists
• 3 Interventional Cardiologists
• Handles complex and high-risk cardiac cases

Required Certifications / License

• Active Wisconsin RN license
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS

Dress Code

Surgical blue scrubs – scrubs provided by the hospital.

Guarantee Notes

Guaranteed hours may not apply during orientation week. Hours may also vary during holidays when the department is closed.

This is a strong Cath Lab opportunity for an experienced invasive cardiac RN, but the key screening item is structural heart experience. Candidates without hands-on TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman experience will not qualify. Best fit is a seasoned Cath Lab RN comfortable scrubbing alongside physicians, handling high-risk PCI/Impella cases, and meeting a 30-minute call response time.
