Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Cath Lab - $2,575 per week

About the role

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Hazard, Kentucky. The position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessment of patients prior to procedures, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams
• Absorb and perform tasks such as positioning patients correctly for the procedure and ensuring EKG electrodes and cardiac leads are properly placed
• Assist in the placement of catheters, wires, balloons, stents, structural heart devices, and other cardiac interventions
• Operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic waveforms
• Support post-procedure care, including monitoring patient recovery and ensuring a smooth transition to the next phase of care
• Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment, ensuring everything is functioning properly and fully stocked for procedures
• Communicate effectively with team members, patients, families, and physicians to provide seamless care
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• One year’s recent experience as a Cath Lab RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• PALS or ENPC Certifications
• RCIS certification

Qualifications

The preferred qualifications include PALS or ENPC Certifications, RCIS certification, and other certifications and licenses as required for this position.

Skills

Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills are essential. The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language, as well as read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills, are required. The ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend is necessary. Interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism, are also required. Technical/Motor Skills, including the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment, are necessary. Mental Requirements, including the ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure, as well as working without assistance from other personnel, are necessary. Sensory, including the ability to possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate, are necessary.
