Travel Nurse RN - Ambulatory Surgery - $1,872 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Ambulatory Surgery Center position in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This is a 16-week assignment with 36 hours per week, working 12-hour shifts. The position requires 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Admit patient to the ambulatory setting.
• Cook up OR operations.
• Document patient care services in specific computer charting systems.
• Comfort patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering their questions.
• Review post-retrieval and post-transfer instructions with patients.

Requirements

• BLS certification.
• Two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Good stress management skills are necessary.
• Ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and clinical expertise surrounding intra-operative care.
• Experience with same-day procedures and post-retrieval/post-transfer instructions.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
