What You’ll Do
- Review and interpret the medical and social history of both male and female reproductive health patients;
- Perform appropriate medical screening procedures/exams for both male and female patients;
- Interpret laboratory data, order additional laboratory investigations when indicated and ensure appropriate follow-up;
- Provide a full range of contraceptive methods, including self-administered options and injections;
- Perform medical assessment and management of basic STI and genito-urinary conditions for both male and female patients;
- Provide medication abortion, as indicated;
- Prescribe and educate on emergency contraception;
- Diagnose and treat uncomplicated STIs and genitourinary conditions;
- Perform wart treatment and basic dermatological procedures;
- Offer premenopausal and menopausal health services;
- Act as a medical consultant to clinic staff;
- Manage emergency situations in the health center;
- Participate in staff meetings relating to center management and provides staff training in current medical procedures which are relevant to reproductive health;
- Contribute to achieving health center productivity goals;
- Demonstrate PPMM customer service standards;
- Assist in other areas of center support work as required.
Patient-Centered Exams & Management
- Conduct and interpret medical histories for sexual and reproductive health visits;
- Perform pelvic and breast exams, Pap smears, and other screening procedures;
- Order and interprets laboratory tests; ensure timely follow-up;
- Manage urgent health situations that arise during clinic operations.
Team Engagement
- Act as a clinical resource for medical assistants and support staff;
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to clinic productivity and quality benchmarks;
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
What We’re Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), Women’s Health NP (WHNP), or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) program;
- Current, unrestricted license to practice in the state of California;
- Board Certification;
- CPR/BLS certification (current or within 30 days of hire);
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to thrive in a team-based environment;
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows-based systems).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in reproductive health, OB/GYN, gender-affirming care, or family planning;
- Commitment to providing care that is respectful, inclusive, and affirming to all patients.
