About the Role
This position involves providing specialized nursing support in cardiac surgery settings, including scrubbing or circulating for open-heart procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, and transplants. The role requires managing complex sterile setups, maintaining aseptic techniques, and operating advanced cardioversion technology.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate intraoperative interventions during cardiac emergencies
- Ensure sterile field integrity
- Support cardiopulmonary bypass procedures with specialized equipment
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- At least one year of RN experience in acute care
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Over one year of relevant experience in cardiac surgery
- Additional certifications in cardiopulmonary or surgical nursing
Skills
- Proficiency in sterile technique and aseptic practices
- Experience with cardiopulmonary technology and emergency response
- Ability to travel locally or nationally
- Strong communication and technical skills
