About the Role
Provide respiratory and neurodiagnostic services in the NICU at a teaching hospital.
Responsibilities
- Assist in high-risk deliveries
- Administer medications such as Albuterol, Atrovent, BiPAP, Combivent, etc.
- Perform procedures including extubation, tracheostomy care, and suctioning
- Manage ventilators and troubleshoot alarms
- Collect sputum specimens
- Provide pulmonary hygiene and nebulization treatments
- Work closely with the emergency department and critical care teams
- Document patient care in the electronic health record (Epic)
Requirements
- BLS, NRP, RRT certifications
- VA license
- Experience in NICU and pediatric critical care
