Travel NICU RN - $2,973 per week

About the Role

Pulse Healthcare Services is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for a Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) position in Odessa, Texas. This is a travel nursing assignment with the following details:

• Start Date: 09/22/2026
• Duration: 8 weeks
• Hours: 48 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• Schedule: 4x12s
• Unit: High-Risk Level III NICU
• Patient Ratio: 1:3 (Nights/Weekends)
• Float required to Pediatrics and Nursery

Responsibilities

Clinical experience must include high-risk neonatal care, such as:

• Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP)
• High Frequency Ventilation & Nitric Oxide
• Bubble CPAP & HFNC
• Umbilical line management (UAC/UVC)
• IV vasopressors & central line care
• Surfactant administration
• Therapeutic hypothermia
• Sepsis workups & NEC management
• Neonatal abstinence syndrome
• APGAR scoring & high-risk deliveries
• Phototherapy & hyperbilirubinemia
• Feeding support (bottle, breast, gavage)
• Developmental & family-centered care
• Respiratory distress syndrome
• Neonates 29–34 weeks (and 34+ weeks)

Requirements

• 2–3+ years NICU RN experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• BLS required
• NRP required
• STABLE required
• PALS preferred
• Cerner experience required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• RTO must be submitted with application
