Requirements

• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment
• BLS, NRP, & STABLE required
• NICU II experience required
• CPAP experience required
• 2 years of experience required
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Candidate must have a record of multiple successfully completed assignments and no cancellations
• Certifications in NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. are required

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the stability of cardiopulmonary, neurologic, metabolic, and thermal functions of neonates in a Level II NICU
• Assist with specialized procedures such as lumbar puncture and endotracheal resuscitation of newborns 32 weeks or greater
• Initiate, modify, or stop treatments according to protocols or orders
• Proficiently manage respiratory support systems, including High Flow O2, CPAP, Bubble CPAP, and Mechanical Ventilation
• Support stabilization and preparation of pre-term infants less than 32 weeks for transport to a Level III facility
