Travel NICU RN - $1,881 per week

About the role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Hickory, North Carolina. This position involves 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Responsibilities

• Make clinical judgments and utilize critical thinking in an effective and efficient manner with supervision.
• Perform according to nursing standards and manage patient care, assisting others in the management of patient care.
• Provide direct and specialized care for newborns requiring close monitoring due to premature birth, birth defects, infection, or other medical conditions requiring surgery or therapy.
• Work in the NICU with doctors and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist in developing and implementing a plan of care for high-risk newborns requiring high-technology care, including ventilators, incubators, or other special equipment or surgery.

Requirements

• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care NICU setting.
• Active RN License.
• BLS, PALS, & NRP Certifications.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Additional requirements to be determined by the client facility.
