About the role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Level II NICU unit in Corpus Christi, TX. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in caring for premature infants and those with complex medical needs. This role involves working within a cohesive team to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to infants in the NICU
- Assist with intubations, feeding tube insertions, IV insertions and eye exams
- Monitor patient status and respond to changing needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete charting in EMR
Requirements
- Current RN license
- CPR and NRP certification
- Experience with ventilator management and care for 23-40+ week gestation infants
- CPN charting knowledge preferred
Schedule
- 13-week contract position
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour night shifts: 7 PM - 7 AM
