Job Details
- 36hr rotating 3x12hr shifts (7a-7:30p and 7:15p-7:15a).
- Rotation is based on department needs and not guaranteed.
- Every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Job Requirements
- Must have a valid Massachusetts nursing license (no conditional licenses accepted).
- Primary source verification of professional license and/or certification required within 30 days of start date and updated upon expiration.
- Completion of MGB NWH Self-Study Orientation & Attestation required before onboarding.
- Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date and updated annually; no exemptions allowed.
- MGB Medication Exam with 80% passing within 365 days required.
- Documentation of MMR vaccination or proof of immunity required.
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date and updated if break >6 months required.
- Physician Health Statement within 365 days of start date and updated if >6 month break required.
- Criminal background checks including MGB Criminal Background Check, Massachusetts CORI, National Sex Offender Check, and Exclusion Checks required.
- MGB Skills Checklist must be completed within 1 year of submission.
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience required for submission.
- Two references within 4 years required, minimum one supervisor or above in skillset.
- MGB Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form required for all initial assignments and extensions upon acceptance.
Schedule Information
- 36 hour rotating schedule with 3 shifts of 12 hours each.
- Shift times: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:15 PM to 7:15 AM.
- Rotation based on department needs and not guaranteed.
- Every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Unit Specific Information
- Special Care Nursery (NICU) unit.
Additional Details
- MGB NWH Self-Study Orientation & Attestation available in Document Library.
- Fit Test must be completed on the MGB N95 Respirator Fit Test Record Form.
- Updates to Fit Test can be done at Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket if traveler extends beyond original assignment.
- MGB Name Change Documentation required if credential documentation does not match current legal name or profile.
- MGB TB Symptom Survey required if Positive PPD, to be completed prior to start and updated annually.
- MGB Candidate Submission Coversheet required for submission to initial assignment and new facility submissions.
