Job Summary
The neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) Nursing Specialist position is based in Edmonds, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care to infants in a Level II NICU setting. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing high-risk deliveries and neonatal care procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Shift: Nights
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of NICU experience
- Valid BLS and NRP certifications
- Ability to attend high-risk deliveries
- Feeding (bottle, breast, gavage)
- Neonatal dosage calculations
- Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous charge experience
- Community hospital experience
- Level II NICU knowledge
Additional Information
- All candidates must have current references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years.
- Modules include non-billable training averaging 16 hours, completed pre-start and annually, with completion recorded in Workramp transcripts.
- NICU travel nurses are not expected to care for mother-baby couplets unless they possess the specific skills and competencies.
