Travel Neurology RN - $2,189 per week

About the role

Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence-based practice, the Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for the provision of competent care based on established standards. The Level II Registered Nurse assumes an expanded role, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Providing competent patient care in the Neuromusculoskeletal Med Surg department.
• Assuming charge nurse duties and responsibilities as needed.
• Serving as a preceptor for new staff and nursing students.
• Participating in committee activities to enhance nursing practice and patient care.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of Med Surg experience required.
• Telemetry experience required.
• NYS RN license required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required.
• NIHSS certification required.

Schedule

• Shift: 12 hours, flexible
• Schedule includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and charge per unit needs for 36 or 48 hours.
• Duration: 13-week contract position.
• Hours per week: 36 hours (with option for 48 hours per shift needs).
