Travel Neuro Stepdown & EMU RN - $2,211 per week

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for our Neuro Stepdown & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in neuroscience nursing and experience with high-acuity patients. You will play an integral role in providing critical care for patients with neurological conditions while adhering to the highest standards of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients post-craniotomy, stroke, and those requiring epilepsy monitoring.
• Manage complex medication regimes and titrate IV drips as per physician orders.
• Conduct patient assessments using NIHSS and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and modify patient care plans.
• Utilize skills in managing patients with EVDs and administering TPA protocols as necessary.

Requirements

• Valid RN license with strong neuro experience.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required; ACLS preferred.
• Proficiency with the EPIC charting system is essential.
• Candidate must have a history of caring for stroke patients and implementing NIHSS assessments.
• Must be flexible and willing to work weekends and holidays as part of the team.

Pay & Schedule

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
