Travel Neuro Med Surg RN - $2,817 per week

Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina. This position is for a Medical‑Surgical Registered Nurse specializing in Neuro. The nurse will be part of a dynamic team, providing comprehensive care to patients with neurosurgical procedures and neurological diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality patient care on a Neuro unit.
• Manage patient assignments with ratios of 1:5‑6.
• Participate in a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events or mass casualties as required.
• Float to other units as needed based on the demands of the department.
• Complete 12‑16 weekend shifts as per contract requirements.

Requirements

• Local candidates are accepted at the local rate.
• Attire: scrubs must be navy blue.
• Orientation: two orientation shifts at the unit following hospital‑based orientation.
• Testing: candidates must pass an EKG test prior to starting in this specialty.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Neuro experience preferred.
• First‑time travelers are accepted.
• Experience with Pyxis, SBAR, and EPIC systems essential for documentation and communication.
