Travel Neuro Med Surg RN - $2,088 per week

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide exceptional care to patients within the Neuro Unit, requiring strong experience in neurosciences including management of strokes, seizures, and post‑operative spinal surgery care. The RN will collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and maintain safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient's condition and assess their neurological status using NIHSS.
• Document patient care activities in EPIC and ensure compliance with medical standards.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding care plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Supervise nursing aides and ensure appropriate staffing levels.

Requirements

• Current RN License.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications in hand at time of submission; ACLS preferred.
• Recent experience with EPIC charting system.
• Strong background in neuro nursing, particularly with G‑tubes and titrating protocols as guided by physicians.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

13‑week contract, night shift on the Neuro Unit; available shift patterns are Friday‑Saturday‑Sunday or Saturday‑Sunday‑Monday, 7 PM to 7:30 AM; 36 hours per week (12‑hour shifts).
