About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Neuro Med Surg unit in Johnstown, PA. This is a 13-week travel contract position. The ideal candidate will have experience in neuro care and be capable of delivering high-quality patient care.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, 07:00 – 19:00
• Must be available to work all shifts: Days, Nights, and Mids

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological conditions
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and neurological status
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery
• Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Pennsylvania
• 2+ years of experience in acute care or neuro med surg (preferred)
• NIH Stroke Scale and Swallow Screen certifications (preferred)
• Competency in dysrhythmia and must pass a dysrhythmia and math dosage test

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
