Travel Neuro ICU RN - $2,893 per week

About the Role

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a Neuro ICU RN for a travel nursing assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. This 13-week assignment begins on August 31, 2026, with a 12-hour night shift and 48 hours worked per week.

Responsibilities

• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Care of ventilated patients
• Continuous IV sedation
• CVA/Acute Stroke management
• External ventricular drain (EVD) management
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• ICP monitoring
• Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Neuro Intensive Care Unit duties
• Phlebotomy
• Post Neurosurgery Management
• Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring
• Spinal cord injury care
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Titration of cardiac drips
• Traumatic Brain injury care
• Ventilator Management

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a neuro setting
• Neuro experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Must pass Relias EKG exam and demonstrate ability to interpret/manage dysrhythmias
• Must complete 10 hours of stroke education (NIHSS satisfies 3 hours if taken in the year)
• Pending license accepted; specific requirements for MO and IL licenses based on submission and residency
• Compliance with COVID and Flu vaccine requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Familiarity with special procedures and equipment: Vasoactive medications, Central line/Arterial line management, ICP monitoring, CRRT, hypothermia/hyperthermia management, spinal precautions, EVD, bolt

Other Details

• Guaranteed hours with a patient ratio of 1:2
• Open to first-time travel nurse applicants
• No local candidates within a 75-mile radius
• Certification modules are billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr, required for RNs and LVNs, completed through WorkRamp
• Modules must be started within 1 week of a signed contract and completed 2 Fridays prior to the start date to avoid delays

Pay

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems for eligible clinicians based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual weekly pay and per diems may differ from the amount shown and may be subject to change during an assignment.
