Travel Neonatal Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,002 per week

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist position in Indianapolis, Indiana at Ascension St. Vincent Women & Infants Hospital.

About the role

Provides evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. This is a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts, focusing on neonatal respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.
• Implements and monitors patient care plan and equipment. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition.
• Performs advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
• Educates the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
• Responds to emergency resuscitation team codes.

Requirements

• BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 month of hire.
• One or more of the following:
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Preferred credentials:
  • Advanced Life Support (AHA).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
• Education: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
