Description
Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required
Holiday rotation required
Floating within scope may be required depending on experience; no floating to sister facilities
No on-call required
Charting: Epic (experience preferred)
Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
Parking pass available for a one-time $20 fee (nights and weekends only)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience with pediatric, neonatal, and infant populations
- CRT certification required
- Active certifications required: BLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA certifications only)
- SC Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required; license must be in hand at time of start
- Licenses required if applicable
- NBRC certification accepted
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
- Travelers should be aware that this facility is located in a hurricane-prone region; during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September
