Aya Healthcare has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse position in Chesapeake, VA.

Pay

$2,697.32 to $2,890.24 weekly, including taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements.

Schedule

• 13-week assignment
• Night shift: 4 × 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Start date: 08/17/2026
• Patient ratios: 7:1 on nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• Feeding tube care and management
• Heparin protocols
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Isolation precautions and PPE
• Management of cardiac drips (no titration)
• MS/Tele monitoring (on-unit and remote)
• Nasal cannula and oxygen administration (including tanks)
• Non-invasive airway management
• PCA management
• Peripheral and PICC line care/management
• Phlebotomy
• Post-MI care
• Pre/post hemodialysis management
• Renal failure care
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Surgical drain management
• Telemetry monitoring
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Wound care and wound vac management

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active VA license or Compact License (quick license state—application process takes 2 weeks or less)
