Travel MRI Technologist - $3,432 per week

Travel MRI Technologist position in New York, New York. Start date: November 16, 2026. Duration: 8 weeks. Full-time, 40 hours per week. Shift: 8-hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel contract.

Requirements

• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Valid state radiology registration as required by state law
• Eighteen months of MRI Technologist experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting
• Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and MRI principles to safely and efficiently operate MRI scanners, assisting in diagnosis of disease and injury
• Ensure safety of patients, staff, and visitors in contact with the powerful magnetic field of an MRI scanner
• Position patients and coils on the table that slides inside the MRI scanner
• Inject contrast media as required
• Set appropriate technical parameters, operate MRI scanners and related equipment, and observe image data on computer monitors during scans
• Distinguish between normal and abnormal images
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations
• Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines
• Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner
• Maintain an environment of excellence that is patient-focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives

Pay

Weekly payment estimates include gross hourly wages and reimbursements for meals, incidentals, and housing expenses.
