Travel MRI Technologist - $3,045 per week

About the role

Travel MRI Technologist position in Rochester, New York. Start date: November 2, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Full-time, 40 hours per week. Shift: 8-hour evenings. Employment type: Travel contract.

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and MRI principles to safely and efficiently operate MRI scanners, assisting in diagnosis of disease and injury.
• Ensure safety of patients, staff, and visitors in contact with the MRI scanner's powerful magnetic field.
• Position patients and coils on the MRI scanner table.
• Inject contrast media as required.
• Set appropriate technical parameters, operate MRI scanners and related equipment, and observe image data on computer monitors during scans.
• Distinguish between normal and abnormal images.
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations.
• Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
• Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Maintain an environment of excellence that is patient-focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality care.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
• Eighteen months of MRI Tech experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
• Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Pay

Weekly payment estimates are informational and include a gross estimate of hourly wages plus reimbursements for meals, incidentals, and housing. Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Recruiter will confirm eligibility and provide details.
