Travel MRI Technologist - $2,919 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Rochester, New York. The position is full‑time travel, 40 hours per week on 10‑hour night shifts. The MRI Technologist will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment, ensure image accuracy for physician interpretation, and prepare and care for patients undergoing MRI procedures. One year of experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure, and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT national certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging
• State‑specific licensing where required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
