Travel MRI Technologist - $2,855 per week

About the role

This position involves performing technical imaging examinations and complex, specialized procedures utilizing a variety of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment and systems. The role requires independent work across multiple locations, including university hospital settings, with a focus on patient safety, image quality, and clinical support.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations and complex specialized procedures across multiple modalities
• Work independently with all patient age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform MRI procedures including abdomen, neuro, breast, pelvic, musculoskeletal, and perfusion imaging
• Conduct equipment maintenance and participate in quality assurance (QA) programs
• Handle image processing and archiving
• Collaborate with staff to prioritize procedures
• Float to different locations as needed
• Pass pass/fail testing with strict criteria including telemetry exam (up to three attempts permitted)

Requirements

• ARRT Magnetic Resonance (MR) or ARMRIT Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification
• BLS certification
• Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
• 2 years of clinical MRI experience
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Experience with GE MRI systems preferred
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and PM shifts as specified

Schedule

• Evenings, 8-hour shifts
• Monday through Thursday: 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM
• Friday: day or evening shift
• Minimum 40 hours per week

Pay

Pay package based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
