Travel MRI Technologist - $2,646 per week
About the role
Location: Altoona, PA. This is a 13‑week travel contract starting 11/16/2026. Employment type: Travel. 36 hours per week, 12‑hour rotating shifts (night shift 19:00–07:00). Specialty: MRI Technologist; Discipline: Allied Health Professional.
As an MRI Technologist, you will independently perform imaging procedures and a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity for diagnostic purposes. You will maintain MR safety and clinical competency while providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
- Practice and maintain MR safety in the department.
- Perform procedures for reviewing, processing, and archiving imaging data.
- Conduct patient assessments and review history before exams.
- Use two patient identifiers and universal protocols for patient identification.
- Document patient history electronically as required.
- Effectively communicate with patients to help alleviate fears and obtain cooperation.
- Work collaboratively within the department and with other departments.
- Ensure exams are properly coded and tracked and that all patient information is updated.
- Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to system‑wide competencies.
Requirements
Required experience: 2 years.
- ARRT Certificate or ARMRIT certification or CNMT or ARDMS registry.
- MR registry must be obtained within 18 months of the primary registry acquisition or within 12 months of hiring.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Compliance with PA Acts 31, 33, 34, and 73.
Schedule
Rotating 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week (12×3 pattern). Shift times: 19:00–07:00.
Pay
Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
