Travel MRI Technologist - $2,546 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Charleston, South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures under the medical supervision of certified radiologists following established protocols
• Responsible for patient care and safety during imaging procedures, including age-appropriate care and obtaining correct written orders
• Supervise and assist in the clinical education of student MRI technologists
• Ensure correct orders, diagnoses, and clinical history are entered into the computer system, and communicate findings with the radiologist
• Instruct and prepare patients regarding MRI procedures, assist with informed consent, and communicate discharge instructions to family members as needed
• Responsible for safe operation of MRI and post-processing equipment with emphasis on minimizing repeat exams and cost-conscious use of supplies
• Adhere to ALARA radiation safety principles and applicable OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards

Requirements

• ARRT registration required
• Active SC or compact state license required, if applicable
• Certified BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Professionals program
• Cross-sectional anatomy or MRI experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, lift/move patients, and push or pull up to 50 lbs
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Two professional references required for consideration

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

36 hours per week, 12 hours per shift, Saturday through Monday, three shifts per week — Saturday and Sunday 7:30 AM–8:00 PM, Monday 8:00 AM–8:30 PM.
