About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures on a wide range of patients including adolescents through geriatrics.
- Familiarity with neonates, infants, and pediatrics is preferred.
- Use equipment including GE and Siemens MRI systems.
- Document using Epic EMR.
- Work night shifts, 3x12 hours, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Thursday through Saturday.
- Floating between the orthopedic location and the main hospital is required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience required.
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required; license required if applicable.
- Experience with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations required.
- Proficiency in various MRI procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral MR, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2, and CINE sequences.
- Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the past 12 months are highly preferred; references must be provided prior to start.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a different rate.
- Travel pairs are allowed but each must have their own transportation and be open to different schedules.
- No RTO is permitted during the first week of the assignment due to orientation; up to 7 days of RTO may be approved if it does not fall on a holiday.

Benefits
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
