Travel MRI Technologist - $1,958 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Duluth, Georgia. The position requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour night shifts, with immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging; state‑specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology

Skills

• Proficiency with magnetic resonance imaging equipment and patient positioning
• Competent in starting IVs and administering contrast media per protocol
• Skilled in evaluating image quality, labeling, and operating power injectors
• Familiar with McKesson PACS system
