Travel MRI Technologist - $1,820 per week
Focus Staff is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13‑week contract assignment in Memphis, Tennessee. The role requires a highly motivated, energetic professional willing to support a friendly, positive, and professional environment. Shifts are three 12‑hour days per week (36 hours total), days only.

Requirements
- Two (2) years of regular (20+ hours/week) continuous recent experience as an MRI Technologist, fully proficient in all duties of an MRI Technologist II
- Active license in the required state
- Current BLS certification
- Full proficiency in MRI with knowledge of required protocols for complex MRI procedures
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small‑group settings
- Ability to learn applications relevant to the position
- Two years of hospital experience in a clinical area; EP experience preferred
- Phenomenal efficiency, attention to detail, strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety
- Compassionate, sensitive, critical thinker, fast to act in emergencies
Responsibilities
- Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross‑sectional images for diagnostic purposes
- Perform related technological functions under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and Imaging Services Director, with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative
- Conduct patient studies according to set protocol, including placing specified coils close to the area of interest
- Operate imaging and other equipment to provide quality diagnostic services: key commands to specify scan sequences, adjust transmitters and receivers, key data on camera keyboard to photograph images
- Interview patients to explain MRI procedures, address concerns, and exhibit tact, courtesy, and poise with patients, staff, and visitors
- Ensure patient and staff safety: explain safety protocols, request removal of hazardous metal objects, alert staff to dangers of metal around the magnet, monitor patients via closed‑circuit TV
- Orient new hires and train MRI technologists, students, and trainees
Pay
Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Pay depends on location and experience.
