Travel MRI Tech - $2,834 per week

Travel MRI Technologist position in Madison, WI (Job ID #1529558). 17‑week assignment, 40 hours/week, 8‑hour day shifts.

About the role

Immediate travel opening for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist. The MRI Tech operates MRI equipment to produce accurate images for physician interpretation, prepares and cares for patients undergoing MRI scans, and ensures safety compliance throughout the imaging process. One year of experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients with reassurance and support
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to each procedure
• Interpret physicians’ written instructions correctly
• Position patients using immobilization and protective equipment per government regulations and safety standards
• Assist the radiologist during procedures
• Start IVs and administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images, sequence exposures, and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast administration
• Follow radiation safety procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience (note: some references indicate 2 years may be preferred)
• BLS certification
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT national certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging
• State‑specific licensing where required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment start

Pay & Schedule

Pay package based on 8‑hour shifts, 40 hours/week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Assignment duration: 17 weeks. Employment type: Travel.
