Travel MRI Tech - $2,034 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This is a travel position with 40 hours per week on 8-hour night shifts. Job ID: #1518611.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance
• Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist (note: some requirements indicate 3 years)
• BLS certification
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging
• State-specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Schedule

8-hour night shifts, 40 hours per week for a 13-week duration.

Pay

Pay package based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
