American Traveler is hiring a night‑shift MRI Technologist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Chesapeake, Virginia. The position involves adult acute care and outpatient MRI imaging across a range of body areas and advanced sequences.

Assignment details: Night shift, 3×12‑hour shifts (Friday–Sunday, 8:00 PM–8:00 AM), 36 hours per week, starting November 9, 2026. One opening.

Location: Coastal Virginia, near Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility; first‑time travelers are not considered. Requires completion of 3 hours of pre‑start modules. Job ID: P‑768750.

Responsibilities

• Adult acute care and outpatient MRI imaging
• Imaging of abdomen, pelvis, chest, breast, head and neck, brain, and spine (cervical, lumbar, thoracic)
• Perform special imaging procedures including diffusion, gradient echo imaging, perfusion, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Operate GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI equipment and PACS system
• Rotating on‑call requirement

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
• Virginia or compact state license required at time of consideration
• GE scanner experience required
• No history of prior license or background issues
• Must be able to complete fit testing; PAPR accommodation is not available

Skills

• Proficiency with GE MRI scanners
• Experience with Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI systems
• PACS system operation
• Advanced MRI sequences: diffusion, gradient echo, perfusion, multiplanar reconstruction
