About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a quality Postpartum / Mother-Baby Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment with one of our top healthcare clients in Canton, Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period.
- Perform the dual role of caring for infants and educating mothers about infant care.
- Care for both mothers and their newborns after delivery.
- Monitor mothers and help ensure proper recovery in the hours following delivery.
- Recognize postpartum depression and teach new mothers how to address emotional challenges.
- Teach new parents how to care for, bathe, breastfeed and/or bottle-feed the newborn, and monitor the newborn's health.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Degree from accredited nursing program
- BLS, ACLS & NRP Certification
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Mother/Baby setting
- Other requirements to be determined by our client facility
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12 hour night shifts
- Start Date: 09/20/2026
