About the Role
ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.
Schedule
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: 4x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Hours per week: 36 hours
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, implementing care plans as needed
- Administer medications and treatments, including IV fluids and cardiac drips
- Provide respiratory support and manage ventilated patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams and respiratory services
- Maintain patient safety and comfort through vigilant observation and intervention
Requirements
- Current NY RN license in hand (mandatory)
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in critical care or MICU
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with EPIC charting system (hard requirement)
