Requirements

• Years of experience required: 1.5 years ICU experience required; prefer 1.5 years MICU.
• Must have experience in a 20+ bed ICU.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS.
• Preferred experience: CRRT, Swanz, inhaled and IV Flolan, CVVHD, Proning, MTP-Level 1 Rapid Transfuser.
• Required skills: Accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, chronic/acute renal failure, continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, continuous IV sedation, CVVHD/CRRT, emergency medications, GI surgery, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, infection prevention, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, PICC line management, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips, ventilator management.
• Special requirements: Will need to pass Relias EKG exam. Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required.
• Patient care includes: Pressor support, ETT, trachs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, wound care, sterile technique (line insertion, paracentesis, bedside trach placement, bronchoscopy, phlebotomy), esophageal manometry.
• Preferred skills: Swanz, inhaled and IV Flolan, CVVHD, proning, Prismaflex (during COVID only), rapid infuser.
• Floating required within service line and MS areas within ICU.
• Must be competent in caring for patients on CRRT via NxStage.
• Charting system: EPIC.
• Magnetic & teaching hospital; Level I Trauma Center.
• Must be able to pass compliance requirements prior to start.
• Pending license accepted; MO or compact required.
• Not accepting local candidates within 75-mile radius.
