About the role
Refined Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment starting August 3, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit setting.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to medical/surgical standards.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
- Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience in a critical care setting preferred.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- At least one year of acute care experience.
Skills
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Shifts are 12 hours, nights.
