Travel MFM Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer - $2,096 per week

About the role

Travel Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) position in Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography for a 13‑week assignment in Austin, Texas. The role involves 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. As a US Tech you will operate ultrasound equipment, ensure accurate imaging for physician interpretation, prepare and care for patients, and maintain equipment and records.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound‑guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARDMS National Certification (RDMS OB/GYN)
• State‑specific licensing where required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Pay & Schedule

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Schedule: 12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.
