Assignment Details

  • Licensed Social Worker/Therapist - Specialty: Behavioral Health
  • Location: Clive, IA
  • Duration: 13 weeks with potential to renew
  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 5x8 schedule, weekend coverage needed
  • Shift: Day shift
  • Enhanced hourly rate & tax-exempt stipend where applicable
  • Bi-weekly pay
  • Estimated pay rate: $2,122-$2,370/week

Travel Therapist Job Duties/Responsibilities

- Perform social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health

- Provide basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and provide referrals as needed.

- Provide high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients’ functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients’ treatment team.

- Assess patient needs regularly and assist in the developing and updating of the Master Treatment Plan.

- Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient.

- Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations.

Travel Therapist Job Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, or clinical related field
  • Licensure/Certifications: licensed in the state of Iowa as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW); may consider temp licensed.
  • Mandatory Reporter for Adult/Child
  • CPR
