Travel MedSurg/Oncology Telemetry RN - $2,085 per week

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients on the Post-Operative/Oncology/Telemetry unit, focusing on post-operative recovery and oncology patient management. The role involves monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and response to treatments.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including titration of Heparin drips.
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care activities in the EPIC charting system.
• Manage care for patients with various conditions, including post-operative complications and oncology-related issues.
• Participate in patient discharge planning and follow-up care coordination.

Requirements

• Valid and unexpired RN license in the state of West Virginia.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy biotherapy certification preferred.
• Experience managing patients with chest tubes and oncology complications is highly desirable.

Pay & Schedule

The Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
