About the role

Medical Surgical Floor Nurse needed in an acute care setting for a 13–16 week travel assignment. The position involves 12-hour day shifts, including working two of three major holidays. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4–5 during day shifts and 1:5–6 during evening shifts. Assignment requires floating to other Medical Surgical units as needed and includes mandatory overtime to ensure coverage. Start date: 09/21/2026; end date: 01/11/2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit
• Work 12-hour day shifts, including two of three major holidays
• Float to other Medical Surgical units as required
• Participate in mandatory overtime to maintain unit coverage
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
• Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including major holidays
• Ability to float to other units

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Medical Surgical units
• Familiarity with nurse-to-patient ratios
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts
