Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry RN - $2,250 per week

About the role

Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) registered nurse position in a modern acute care facility. The role involves providing bedside patient care on a 34-bed medical‑surgical unit utilizing a co‑care/virtual nursing model. The nurse will support patients with diverse diagnoses including cancer‑related conditions, heart disease, diabetes, and complex trauma, working primarily night shifts. The assignment is at a Magnet‑designated facility, offering high‑quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care on a 34‑bed medical‑surgical unit.
• Utilize a co‑care/virtual nursing model.
• Support patients with cancer‑related conditions, heart disease, diabetes, and complex trauma.
• Work primarily night shifts.
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed.
• Manage peripheral lines, administer oxygen, perform non‑invasive airway management.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• Float to other similar units within scope when required.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in the state of practice (pending licenses accepted but must be in hand for auto offer).
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Specialized skills in:
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Use of rapid response and code teams.
• Peripheral line care and management.
• Oxygen administration.
• Non‑invasive airway management.
• Adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in an MS/Tele setting.
• Charting with Epic or any electronic medical record system.
• Community hospital experience.
• Trauma care experience.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

• Night shift, 12 hours per shift.
• Minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Guaranteed hours: 60 per two‑week period.
• Assignment length ranges from 13 to 26 weeks.
• Start date: ASAP (posted 10/19/2026).
• Candidates must be able to complete AK RN license application within 48 hours of signing.
• Prepared to work during some holidays and adhere to specific scheduling requests submitted upfront.
• RTO requests must be included at submission.
