Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry RN - $2,070 per week

About the Role

Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) in a healthcare setting. This unit specializes in caring for patients with a variety of diagnoses such as CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetics, post-catheterization, and total joint replacements. The role involves interpreting basic telemetry strips, with some experience in managing CVA and TIA patients. The position requires working a 12-hour night shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/21/2026.

Schedule

• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Shifts scheduled in 4-week blocks, with self-scheduling subject to managerial approval
• Weekend and holiday shifts required, including two days and two evenings during major holidays (e.g., Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)

Responsibilities

• Interpret basic telemetry strips
• Sign off on telemetry strips at least once per shift
• Manage care for patients with conditions such as CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetics, post-catheterization, and total joint replacements
• Potential floating to East Campus or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) if qualified
• Participate in one on-unit shift orientation
• Adhere to unit dress code: navy blue scrubs

Requirements

• Valid certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• At least 2 years of nursing experience
• Ability to interpret telemetry strips
• Licensure to submit

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reading telemetry strips
• Prior experience with CVA and TIA patients
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic charting system
• Experience with total joint replacements
• Experience titrating Diltiazem/Cardizem drips

• Unit maintains a 1:10-15 nurse aide ratio
• Utilizes BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments as needed
