Travel Medical-Surgical RN - $2,485 per week

Job Summary

The Medical Surgical Floor nursing position is located in Bismarck, North Dakota. This role involves providing care to observation patients, managing pre and post-operative needs, and responding to high patient turnover with efficiency and organization. The position requires adherence to clinical protocols in a fast-paced, acute care environment.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• Days only
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active North Dakota or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• Minimum two years of clinical experience in a similar setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system and Acu-dose narcotic dispensing
• Knowledge of observation care procedures including IV starts, dressing changes, Foley insertions, and post-operative care

Additional Information

• The unit is a 24-bed acute care setting handling high patient turnover, with an RN to patient ratio of 1:5
• The department utilizes critical equipment such as EPIC EMR and Acu-dose for medication management
• Orientation typically includes 2-3 twelve-hour shifts with a preceptor, along with classroom training for charting systems

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
